Curious to know a male’s prospective on why guys treat girls who would do anything for them so badly, I enlisted the help of three guy friends for clarity. Today I learned that it turns out that there are guys (as well as girls) out there that cheat on girls just to experience what else is out there. To make matters worse, they use their girlfriend as a back up plan; the guaranteed option when all else fails. And if that didn’t sting enough, there are guys that will do all of this knowing that they’re significant other is not going to leave, even if she finds out. This absolute blew my mind.
It kills me to know that there are so many boys (no, not men) who think this way. I don’t understand the point of dragging someone else’s attached emotions through the mud of your dirty deeds. Why not just cut off all ties? If you are unhappy, leave. Grow some balls and be a man. Don’t scheme and play games like a little boy, especially to a faithful woman. As easy as it is to talk to and make other plans with other girls, it should be equally as easy to stop talking and all future connections with me. Playing someone you once cared about for a fool is just evil.
I hope for the day when I can fully trust and try. I want to give my all into making someone else happy because that would make me happy. I want to be the woman that can look at her man and know that nothing is going to change: we’re just going to grow. But at this point, I just don’t want to anymore. Yes, I am scared. The thought of falling for empty words and calculated actions just to end up alone and disappointed is simply dreadful. And I refuse.
